You know when you buy a snack ‘for later’ and you just don’t eat it. Yeah that’s me

Some things just aren’t fair. But we use fairness as a gauge for mutual satisfaction, mutual reward. So fair is just the path of least resistance, emotionally speaking. A middle ground that causes no social friction. He got one so you get one too. Equality without favouritism. Sometimes I don’t know how to rebalance the scales. It isn’t my problem, it’s nothing to do with me but I feel uncomfortable knowing it’s a problem for someone else.

It’s unfair to me that I feel a certain way because of the actions of someone else.

But it’s nothing to do with me. At no point will our issues metaphorically cross paths yet I’m still awake at night trying to prise my conscience off the topic. Some things just aren’t fair. But nothing can be truly fair, compromises just find themselves within equal reach of all parties. It seems this would be over with if I could become comfortable with the knowledge that existence isn’t fair rather than trying to rebalance the scales. A dilemma, that will still exist tomorrow. Stick to your company you fookin fool. Song of the day: The Other Side Of Paradise – Glass Animals
